The Behavioral Health Association of Nevada monthly Policy Forum discussions on the third Tuesday of each month. join our next zoom meeting where we will be discussing the key topics that emerged from our recent in-person meetings. Links to zoom have been sent to member emails.

During this month's meeting, NPA Legislative Committee members will discuss enforcement of Assembly Bill 207 (AB207).  Passed in 2025, AB207, aims to improve transparency regarding mental health parity and addiction equity.  It requires insurers to submit information to the Nevada Division of Insurance on denials of mental health claims, making this data a public record.  Recent reporting by the Nevada Independent identified several alleged violations of AB207 by Nevada MOCs.  NPA Legislative Committee members will present ideas for supporting increased enforcement of the bill.
